The PSL’s safest pair of hands

Nelson Chadya has underlined his status as one of the top goalkeepers in the domestic premiership with a plethora of mind-blowing performances helping steer Ngezi Platinum Stars towards a top 4 finish.

Having conceded just once in Ngezi Platinum’s last 5 matches, Chadya has managed a total of 18 clean sheets in 33 appearances, conceding only 19 times.

Backed by such data Chadya has risen to become one of the top goalkeepers in the domestic premiership with astonishing athleticism and reflexes helping Madamburo move towards a credible finish.

While there has often been noise regarding goalkeepers from other clubs, Chadya has quietly gone about his business with the highly agile goalminder keeping the most number of clean sheets so far this season.

Highly disciplined and a very good ball distributor, Chadya’s great temperament and professionalism has seen him rise to become the most decorated goalkeeper to ever play for Ngezi Platinum Stars since the club’s formation in 2001.

Chadya, who is among one of the longest serving members of the Mhondoro-Ngezi based outfit having joined the team in 2016, has made more appearances for the club than any other goalkeeper.

Although the defense gets plenty of plaudits each time the team manages a clean sheet, that performance is always punctuated by a wonderful goalkeeper behind them in Nelson Chadya.

The young goalminder has been outstanding this season in almost every aspect with 18 clean sheets serving as an indication of how difficult it is to score against him.

Born in Harare on the 5th of April 1997, Nelson Mawoko Chadya started his career with Hartley Academy before joining Ngezi Platinum Stars in 2016.
