This comes after parents expressed concern over the limited time they were given to pay for November public examinations. Parents felt that they could not raise the full amount for the fees considering the prevailing economic situation. Zimsec in a statement assured the public that all heads of examination centres have been notified about the new changes.

Correct information should be on candidates’ submissions because no amendments will be made after the closing date. Special attention should be given to names as seen on birth certificates, date of birth and status (male or female). Candidates should also enter the correct information for registered subjects as well as options.

Zimsec also announced that examinations now have a two-year payment plan and the scheme is also applicable to Grade 7 examinations. This means that parents of candidates start paying for the examinations a year before. These fees are exclusively paid at examination centres or schools.
