Supermodel Cara Delevingne Auctions Tag Heuer Watch For Cecil The Lion

Condolences are still pouring form every corner for our beloved Cecil. The loved lion is to be immortalized as a spalsh toy. Even toy manufacturing company Ty Inc announced they would be releasing a Beanie Baby in honor of Cecil.

All profits from the sale of the plush toy, which features a dark ruff like the distinctive mane that helped make Cecil such a hit with tourists  will go to aid conservation efforts.

British supermodel Cara Delevingne is doing her part in raising awareness by auctioning her Tag Heuer watch. The money will go to the Wildlife Conservation Research Unit at Oxford University where Cecil was part of a research program. Bids have reached more than £7,000.

Cara even took it a step further by tattooing a lion on her finger. The project will now study the effect of Cecil’s death on the surviving lions in his pride, including his cubs.

The conservation unit has received more than £550,000 in donations since the Cecil was killed by Mr Palmer an American dentist with a crossbow.
