Crime Alert: Cases of child abductions reported in Warren park and surrounding areas.

Police and school authorities have been issuing out warnings to parents about the high rate of child abductions in Warren park and surrounding areas. The suspected kidnappers are targeting primary school children as they make their way home after school. Four ECD pupils were abducted from Warren park 2 primary school recently and have not yet been located.

Another woman using a Toyota Wish vehicle was nabbed by members of the public in Warren park D. She had lured a young boy into her car on the pretext bthat she wanted to take him home.She had even asked a vendor to take pics of herself with the young kid saying they were related. The lady managed to convince the kid to get into her car but as fate had it, the boy’s mother arrived that very moment. The woman was attacked by the mob and later taken to police.

It is alleged that these abductors might be part of a syndicate that sells body parts of young children for traditional rituals. There is a growing demand for body parts as they are said to bring financial breakthroughs for business operators. Several people have been arrested in previous years with these parts enroute to South Africa for sale on the black market and to traditional healers.

People must be wary of such activities and keep their children safe at all times. Those with kids who go to nearby schools must still exercise caution and accompany them to school. Police have been asking for information leading to the arrest of these culprits.
