Zimbabwe to Host Inaugural “Voices That Rock Zim Awards”

Zimbabwe is set to celebrate its finest vocal talents with the launch of the Voices That Rock Zim Awards, scheduled for July 11, 2025, at The Venue in Avondale, Harare. The prestigious black-tie event, organized by KComms Agency, will honor voice-over artists, broadcasters, and presenters, marking a significant milestone in the country’s entertainment industry.

Recognizing Zimbabwe’s Vocal Talent

Project manager Rumbidzai Peresuh of KComms Agency highlighted the need for such an awards platform, noting that while Zimbabwe has numerous artistic recognition events like the National Arts Merit Awards (NAMA), Comic Awards, and Music Talent Awards, the contributions of vocal artists had largely gone unnoticed.

“We are now actually elevating and celebrating that voice that continues to entertain, educate, and bring various brands to life,” said Peresuh.

Award Categories and Hall of Fame Inductions

The Voices That Rock Zim Awards will feature 15 categories, recognizing excellence across different fields, from radio broadcasting to international voice recognition. The event will also induct 15 legendary voices into the inaugural Hall of Fame, celebrating their lasting impact on Zimbabwean storytelling, culture, and heritage.
