Beverly Sibanda Shifts Focus and Leaves Drama Behind

Renowned dancer Beverly Sibanda, founder of the Sexy Angels dance group, says she has moved to a more reserved lifestyle, leaving behind the drama that often surrounded her public image. Known for her raunchy performances and frequent controversies, Beverly now prefers to be recognized for her talent rather than her headline-grabbing antics.
In a recent interview following her visit to Chikurubi Maximum Security Prison, Beverly reflected on the changes in her life. She was part of a group of performers accompanying musician Sulu Chimbetu during a meet-and-greet with inmates ahead of the Prisons and Correctional Day, commemorated on Saturday.
“I am not limiting my shows; I am performing every week. It’s just that there is less noise now,” she said.
Beverly emphasised that she no longer seeks drama. “I simply want to focus on my performances. But if something happens, and there is drama, I will speak out. These days, I tend to remain quiet about certain issues.”
Fans who affectionately call her Bev can expect to see her busy with work rather than controversy. “I am not limiting my shows; we are booked every week. My focus has shifted to my character. I won’t be anywhere unless I have shows. It’s less noise now, but if I want to create a stir, I will. For now, I am keeping a low profile.”
Beverly’s new approach signals a deliberate shift in her career. While her past was defined by attention-grabbing moments, she now prioritizes her craft and professionalism, aiming to leave a legacy defined by her performances rather than her controversies.
