Snowy Earns Third Nomination at Bulawayo Arts Awards, Credits Faith and Hard Work

Gospel musician Snowy continues to rise in Zimbabwe’s music scene, earning his third nomination at the upcoming Bulawayo Arts Awards (BAA). The nomination, in the Outstanding Gospel Artiste category, comes after a year marked by high-profile performances, including his first show in the UK.
Snowy will compete against local talents Vusa Mangena and Harvest Music. Reflecting on his nomination, he expressed gratitude and hope. “I’ve been nominated twice before, and this is my third nomination. If I win, I’ll take it as a moment of gratitude, a reminder that God is faithful and that hard work truly pays off,” he said.
The recognition is a milestone in Snowy’s career, affirming his consistency and passion. “This nomination means so much because it’s a sign that consistency, excellence, and passion never go unnoticed. It’s encouragement to keep doing what I do — to keep creating, serving, and inspiring through art that carries meaning and purpose,” he added.
Known for dynamic performances, electrifying stage presence, and powerful worship delivery, Snowy sees the nomination as both humbling and motivating. “Being recognised for something you genuinely love doing is always special. It reminds me that the work we do in the arts has real impact, it reaches hearts, brings people together, and leaves a mark beyond the stage,” he said.
Snowy views his calling as a bridge between creativity and faith. “I believe my work has helped show that artistry and spirituality can blend beautifully, that you can be creative, relevant, and still carry a strong message of faith and hope. My goal has always been to inspire authenticity and excellence, especially among young creatives coming up in the industry.”
With his growing influence in gospel music and his commitment to using his platform to inspire, Snowy remains one of Zimbabwe’s most promising and impactful gospel artists.
