The talented ensemble impressed both judges and the audience with their vocal prowess and harmony, securing the grand prize of US$2,500.

As part of the contest, the choirs were tasked with re-composing Econet’s popular Tapinda Sesingenile jingle, originally performed by Master H. Each choir infused the verse with their unique style while maintaining the iconic chorus, showcasing their creativity and musical skill.
Beyond the competition, the event was a true celebration of Zimbabwe’s vibrant choral music culture. Special guest performances elevated the evening’s excitement, with renowned Zimbabwean opera singer Molly Dzangare captivating the audience with her powerful voice. Also gracing the stage were the acclaimed Chitungwiza Harmony Singers and Divine Touch from Chikurubi Prisons, whose heartfelt performance deeply moved the crowd.
Econet representative Chengeto Moyo reaffirmed the company’s commitment to nurturing local musical talent and fostering community engagement. The event not only highlighted the country’s rich choral heritage but also reinforced the power of music in bringing people together.
