Madhanaga expected to provide Ngezi midfield stability

Newly signed Ngezi Platinum Stars midfielder Farai Madhanaga is expected to bring in added impetus to the Madamburo midfield following his unveiling on Tuesday afternoon.

Carlos Mavhurume and Leslie Kashitigu had in recent weeks emerged as the preferred central midfield combination but the coming in of Farai Madhanaga is set to add grit to Ngezi Platinum Stars midfield.

Blessed with close ball control, an incredible work ethic and occasional bursts into the attacking third, Madhanaga will be a crucial weapon that could change the fortunes of Madamburo.

Though yet to receive his international clearance, Madhanaga’s paperwork is expected to be ready in time for Ngezi platinum’s next Castle Lager Premier Soccer League clash against Cranborne Bullets.

With a rich history of having won a title with FC Platinum and having gone down South where he turned out for Bidvest Wits and Marumo Gallants, Madhanaga will be a player that fans will be looking out for to provide the spark that could push the Mhondoro based outfit into the top 4. While a lot of attention will be on Madhanaga, another new signing Tapiwa Mandinyenya will be another key player after penning a two year deal. Mandinyenya joins Ngezi from South African first division side JDR Stars. Also set to provide competition in the first team will be Elson Mweha and Tendayi Matindife who have been promoted to the senior side.
