HKD Boss Freeman Fined Over Two Passports
Zimdancehall chanter HKD boss, Freeman was fined after he was arrested for having applied and received two passports.
Freeman, whose real name is Emergy Sylvester Chizanga, lied to the registrar’s Office that he had lost his passport. He was convicted for supplying false information to a public authority. He appeared before a magistrate who fined him $50.
According to reports, Freeman claimed that greed had forced him to apply for a second passport. He had submitted his other passport to the British Embassy for a visa.
In his statement to the magistrate Freeman wanted to travel to Capetown, South Africa for a scheduled show whilst his British visa was being processed.
The British embassy lodged a complaint for Freeman’s arrest after the authorities realised that the dancehall artist submitted another passport.
