Ammara Brown nominated for AFRIMMA Awards
Singing sensation Ammara Brown has been nominated for the prestigious AFRIMMA Awards 2019. This comes after an amazing year in which she released several memorable videos and toured the globe.
The Zimbabwean icon was nominated for best female Southern African musician in a very competitive award category. She will be up against the likes of Sho Madjozi, Busiswa, Shashl, Kelly Khumalo and other iconic Southern African musicians. Ammara Brown and Shashl are the only two Zimbabwean women nominated for the award this year.
Zimbabwe’s leading lady will hope to win this award to cap off what has been a sensational year. Her music video Svoto has been an international hit while her appearance at the African cup of nations was seen as a moment of pride for Zimbabwe.
Ammara Brown is one of the most talented artists in the country. As one of the best performers in the continent, she is able to play the mbira and dance while singing along to her tracks.
At a recent gig at Alex park, the artist was captivating the audience with her dance moves and her crowd favourite songs. She maintained a high level of energy through her entire performance.
