Zimbabwe has produced some serious sibling talent in the football world. We take a look at some of the most talented and most popular Zimbabwean football siblings of all time.
1. Peter, Adam And Madinda Ndlovu
The Ndlovu brothers all had individual success and the first three members of the same family to play for the national team.
2. Sunday and Misheck Marimo
The Marimo brothers also popularly known as the Chidzambwa brothers both played for Dynamos FC. They both at some point in their careers were the Captain of both Dynamos and the National team. Sunday was the first ever captain of The Warriors after independence.
3. Wifred and William Mugeyi
Wilfred played as a striker whilst William was a left back who captained the Zimbabwe national team at the 2000 COSAFA Castle Cup final against Lesotho which Zimbabwe won 6-0. The brothers were both crowned Mzansi Legends in honor of their contribution towards the development of South African football first as players and later as coaches.
4. Elton and Cephas Chimedza
Elton and Cephas dominated the local league and left a mark on the domestic football game. Cephas became more successful with his career when he went on to win the 2005 Soccer Star of the Year award and breaking into the Belgian League.
5. Tendai and Takudzwa Ndoro
The Ndoro brothers joined Botswana’s beMobile league in 2009 before Tendai left for South Africa. Tendai and Takudzwa are identical to the extent that when they played together at Railstars juniors against AmaZulu during the Peter Ndlovu tournament, Tendai had to replace Takudzwa in goals after the former got injured and was hospitalized.
