Killer T First Zimdancehall Artist on Vevo

Award winning Zimdancehall star Killer T is the first Zim dancehall artist on Vevo.

The Vevo channel was launched last night with the first video uploaded video from his performance from the ‘Watora Mari’ concert.

The ‘Hatiregere’ hitmaker will have the highly anticipated ‘Bvunza Tinzwe’ music video released on the channel. ‘Bvunza Tinzwe’ was released with controversial pictures of the singer in a coffin during the video shoot for the song.

Killer T is currently in the UK for the Zim Cup Clash.

In a country where Zim dancehall artists have large followings and much airplay, this is a historical move. The challenge though as highlighted by Tannia from KOSHA management is that Zim dancehall artists don’t have much of an online presence. As observed most local dancehall acts limit themselves to being played in public transport, radio and having shows.

Killer t the first zimdancehall act to break into the digital space with a Vevo channel.

This move is to ensure that Killer T monetize his visuals. The artist previously did not have even a YouTube channel and other media uploaded his videos on the platform.

Now that Killer T is under KOSHA management his music will be placed on digital music stores. This will include iTunes, Google, TIDAL and even local digital store OyOs Music.
