A new impulse emerges at Dynamos

Dynamos stands head and shoulders ahead of its competitors when documenting  the clubs success. 22 league crowns, 8 second place finishes, 8 Uhuru cup titles, a 1998 Caf champions league appearance in the final and a semi-final exit in the 2008 Caf competition are some of the many achievements which make Dynamos a super giant of Zimbabwean football.

Recent years have however seen dembare’s fortunes wane with a 5-year trophy less spell seeming to suggest the glamour boys are no longer the force they once were in domestic football. Despite the dry spell a new impulse seems to have emerged with the dembare leadership appearing to have realized that past achievements and a huge following cannot be a guarantee for future success.

A commercialization drive underpinned by a desire to tap into potential revenue has set the glamour boys on a route which many reckon may spark the clubs turnaround. In the past week the club unveiled Yvonne Mangunda as the glamour boys Marketing and Communications Manager in a development the club believes will usher them into a digital era where massive revenue opportunities await.

Tapping into opportunities offered by the digital age coupled with optimizing on the sale of merchandise are some of the key areas where the glamour boys will be setting their sights on.

Though only boasting of a Chibuku super cup triumph in his personal coaching trophy cabinet, Tonderayi Ndiraya is hoping for a place among coaches with a league title to their name.

Expecting an immediate title may be far fetched but landing a crown at the end of a 4 year cycle could be a possibility especially after the club signed the likes of King Nadolo, Byron Madzokere, Tymon Mvula, Sylvester Appiah and Albert Eonde to mention but a few.
