1. Darikwa born to Zimbabwean parents was born on the 13th of December 1991 in Nottingham, England.
2. He got a scholarship to play for Chesterfield club when he was only sixteen soon after completing school.
3. He signed his first professional deal in 2010 when he joined Barrow club on loan from Chesterfield which he later signed a three year contract with before joining Burnely Club mid 2015.
4. He was voted Football League Young Player of the Month in 2013, named Chesterfield player of the year in 2014 and club Players’ Player of the Season for the 2015 season.
5. Many English Premier League clubs have shown interest in the Zimbabwean player, from Manchester United during Moyes days to West Ham, West Brom and Leicester City recently.
6. Darikwa was reportedly keen on playing for Zimbabwe but changed his mind after he was asked to pay a “processing fee” by a former Zimbabwe Football Association official in order to play for the Warriors.
