Zimbabwe’s Costa Nhamoinesu Makes UEFA Europa Team Of The Week

Zimbabwean born Costa Nhamoinesu has been making waves in Europe. The former Masvingo United player was named in the UEFA Europa team of the week all thanks to his impressive performances.

Nhamoinesu was a stand out performer as Sparta Prague booked their place in Europa quater-finals with a 4-1 aggregate win over Lazio. It was a breakthrough victory for Nhamoinesu after he was racially abused in the first leg by Lazio fans.

Borussia Dortmund red hot striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Sevilla’s Joste Antonio Reyes and Liverpool’s Philip Coutinho also made the team .

Describing his inclusion to the team of the week UEFA.com wrote :Sparta never looked comfortable in defence, but when heroics were called for in Rome Zimbabwean Costa was their go-to man, Costa is  proving to be a saving challenge specialist.

Costa will turn out for the Warriors in the upcoming AFCON qualifiers against Swaziland.
