Strive Masiyiwa Makes Fortune’s “World’s 50 Greatest Leaders” list
Businessman and founder of Econet Wireless Zimbabwe Strive Masiyiwa makes Fortune’s “World’s 50 Greatest Leaders” list.
Fortune Magazine is a US based wealth magazine, that competes with Forbes and Bloomberg. One of Zimbabwe’s most successful businessmen, took the 33rd spot on the ‘Top 50 list’. Along with Uganda’s Frank Mugisha and Nigerian writer, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie are the only Africans on the list.
Maisyiwa shared in a Facebook post that he was humbled to be on the list.
” I’m humbled to have been nominated for a second time.
I know much of it is due to the support readers on this platform give me. I’ve told you before, and I want to say here once again, how much all of your comments mean to me each and every week.”
According to Fortune the people on the list have excelled as leaders by:
- Acknowledging reality and offer hope
- Bringing followers physically together
- Building bridges
Masiyiwa is on the list wit Chicago based Baseball coach (number 1), Jack Ma (2), the Pope (3), Melinda Gates (4), Jeff Bezos (5), LebRon James (11), Shakira (27) and Elon Musk (30).
