Caps United Faces Zamalek in CAF Opening Match
Zimbabwean champions Caps United face Egyptian giants Zamalek in the CAF Opening match in Cairo tomorrow.
The Green Machine and the five time African champions will kickstart the Group B matches. The two teams are in the same group as Libyan team Al-Ahli Tripoli and Algerian side, USM Alger.
The match will be played at the 75 000 seater Borg El Arab stadium in Alexandria, Cairo.
The White Knights have confirmed a 21 man squad and are highly confident about the match.
Caps United coach Llyod Chitembwe said the team is motivated due to their triumph over 5-time African champions TP Mazembe from DRC.
Caps didn’t manage to meet Dynamos at the Derby which was meant to be played last Sunday at the National Sports Stadium.
Striker Leonard Tsipa will not be playing due to a hamstring injury. Expected to play is import, Nigerian striker Abasirium Chidebere or Dominic Chungava.
The match will be screened live on Supersport 9 at 2100 hours.
