Zimbabwean Duo Nominated for ABSA PSL Awards
Two Zimbabwean soccer players are nominees for the 2017 ABSA PSL Awards. Mamelodi Sundowns’ Khama Billiat and Golden Arrows striker Thomas Chideu are nominees for the Goal of the Month Award for October.
Billiat was nominated for a goal he scored in the first minute of a league match pitting Sundowns and Platinum Stars at Royal Bafokeng Stadium on October 1. The goal which was Billiat’s first of the season, separated the two teams at full time.
Former Highlanders striker Thomas Chideu is also another Zimbabwean vying for the award. He scored on his debut for his new South African side Golden Arrows against Polokwane City. Chideu’s goal came as an equaliser in the last minute of the match.
