Zim student lands Medical Students Association top post

Lynette Ndlovu has proved that the sky is the limit and defied all odds by being elected the first ever female president of the Federation of African Medical Student’s Association. This is a body that represents all medical students in Africa. She was elected through an online voting platform.

The energetic, young Midlands State University student battled through tough competition from all over Africa to win the presidency of the organisation. It is of paramount importance to note that she is the first female to be elected president of the organization since 1968. The achievement is a clear example of how the youth of today, particularly women can scale up to greater heights and raise high their country’s flag.

Lynette Ndlovu was a member of the organizising committee for the African regional meeting for medical Student’s representatives that was hosted by Zimbabwe in 2018. She was also selected to be part of the national advisory council at the Zimbabwean Medical Student’s Association.

Likewise in the same year she was part of the boot camp of the Southern African Association on female reproduction including HIV and AIDS which was held in Malawi.  Lynette evidently has an excellent portfolio and her medical future looks bright. She has reached another milestone in her blooming career which most young people would never dream of achieving.

After being elected Lynette went on to select Panashe Mangozhe as the financial director and Tinotenda Ngwarati as the secretary who are also both students at the midlands State University.
