Swimming champ Donata Katai scoops another gold medal.
Zimbabwean youthful swimming chapion Donata Katai recently scooped a gold medal at the African junior swimming championships. The event was held in Tunisia. The energetic, young swimmer put on her best perfomance to come tops. The young star has really raised the national flag high.
Donata set a new championship record of 1 minute and 4.63 seconds in the 100 metre backstroke event. The Gateway student is famous for breaking would records. In March this year she broke the record set by sensational swimming championships Kirsty Coventry in 1998.
Donata is coached by Lathy Lobby. The youthful swimmer is set to reach for the Stars as she continues making her mark in the sports fraternity. Sponsors from overseas have been said to be scrambling for her attention. Zimbabwe boasts of abundant sports talent, and Donata is proof of how far local talent can go.
