By Geronimo News

Nyasa Big Bullets are on the verge of completing a domestic double should they beat perennial rivals Silver Strikers in the Airtel Top 8 final pencilled for Saturday 18 December 2021 at the Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre.

Buoyed by their fan base especially in the Malawian capital Blantyre where the club is based, the People’s Team will be hoping to capitalise on home advantage to silence their opponents.

Under the guidance of Zimbabwean mentor Callisto Pasuwa Nyasa Big Bullets who have won three consecutive Premier League titles are seeking to hand themselves a perfect Christmas gift by winning this cup game.

With the former Warriors coach a well-known tactician when it comes to money games, the People’s Team have a greater chance of ending the season in style.

With K17 million on the table it will be a do or die encounter for both Nyasa Big Bullets and Silver Strikers as they will fight intensely to lay their hands on the handsome prize money.

The People’s Team reached the final of the tournament when they humbled their old-age rivals Mighty Wanderers 4-1 at the Kamuzu Stadium on December 4 as the TNM Super League champions continued to assert their dominance on the domestic football front.

On that very day, lanky Nigerian striker Babatunde Adepoju inflicted pain on his former paymasters when he netted all the four goals to send the Bullets into the final while Silver Strikers booked a final berth courtesy of a 2-0 win over Civil Sporting in the other semi-final.
