Mabaya puts up another good shift for Liverpool
Warriors eligible player Isaac Mabaya once again put up an impressive show as Liverpool fell 0-1 to Austria’s RB Salzburg in a club friendly match on Wednesday.
Mabaya who was born in the UK to Zimbabwean parents has found himself in the Reds starting XI during this pre-season and is believed to be on the right path to continue asserting himself in the team in this coming new season.
Despite Liverpool’s loss, Mabaya put up a good shift something which has earned him some bit of respect.
“He showed more signs of tenacity, thrust and end product that could make an interesting option in the role in the long term,” reports Thisisanfield.com on the player.
The 17-year-old is now being touted as the next best thing in the Liverpool fold.
Given that age is still on his side, the Reds are certain the future is bright not only for the youngster but also for the team as a whole.
With football having taken a paradigm shift recently, it is such players who are the most preferred by many a coaches as they can give teams a longer spine.
Mabaya was assigned to the right back position in place of Trent-Alexander Arnold who was rested for the day.
The Warriors eligible will thank the heavens for the absence of Calvin Ramsay as it has given him the opportunity to remain with the senior squad while his fellow teammates Luke Chambers and Bobby Clark have since returned to the U21s.
