Women’s football star dies

The Zimbabwean football fraternity has plunged into mourning following the passing away of former Mighty Warriors player Rufaro Machingura after a long illness.

Rufaro rose to fame back in 2011 when she gabbed 5 goals in a Cosafa women’s championship clash against Malawi at a tournament which saw the Mighty Warriors clinch regional glory.

Apart from an impressive spell with the Mighty Warriors Machingura was also an important part of Black Rhinos Queens having honed her skills at Aces youth Academy.

Mourners are gathered at House Number 4617, Retreat Park Waterfalls, in Harare.
