Tonderai ‘Stanza’ Ndiraya Eyes Successful Maiden Season with Scottland FC
Championship-winning coach Tonderai ‘Stanza’ Ndiraya is determined to lead newly promoted Castle Lager Premier Soccer League (PSL) side, Scottland FC, to success in their maiden top-flight season. Ndiraya, fresh off guiding Simba Bhora to a historic championship title last season, has taken the reins at Scottland, a club owned by gold dealer and businessman Scott Sakupwanya.
Replacing Genesis Mangombe, who led the club to promotion, Ndiraya expressed his enthusiasm and clear ambition for the upcoming campaign. In his unveiling, he stated, “My hope is that we have a successful maiden season.” With a focus on achieving silverware, he eyes either the league title or the Chibuku Super Cup as his primary goals for the season.
“I’m incredibly excited for obvious reasons. This is the biggest and hottest franchise due to what the club has done so far. I feel privileged to have been given the opportunity to lead such a renowned brand,” Ndiraya added, signaling his commitment to taking the team to new heights.
Scottland FC has already made significant strides in assembling a competitive squad, with over 15 signings strengthening various positions across the team. Some of the standout names include Talbert Shumba, Taimon Mvula, Marvelous Chigumira, Godknows Murwira, Peter Muduhwa, Khama Billiat, Walter Musona, and Lynoth Chikuhwa, all of whom bring substantial talent and experience to the club.
With such a star-studded squad, Ndiraya’s task is to blend these individual talents into a cohesive, winning unit. Fans are eager to see how the new coach will steer Scottland through the challenges of their debut season in the PSL. As the season unfolds, all eyes will be on Scottland FC, hoping to see them make a lasting impact on the league under Ndiraya’s leadership.
