Nizhe DeSoul Launches DJing Academy in Bulawayo to Nurture Local Talent

Renowned wheelspinner Nizhe DeSoul is set to give back to his hometown with the launch of the Nizhe DeSoul Academy (NDS Academy) in Bulawayo. The academy will provide professional DJ training through a hands-on approach, hosted at Kulture Studios, located at 14th Avenue and Samuel Parirenyatwa Street. Unlike his previous mobile educational programs, this academy will be city-based, with the first month-long classes scheduled to run next month.
“We chose a central and accessible location so that students from all corners of Bulawayo can attend with ease. The space is designed to be both professional and creative, offering learners an environment that is welcoming, inspiring, and practical for hands-on training,” said Nizhe DeSoul.
The initiative stems from Nizhe’s passion for sharing knowledge and his recent departure from the Soul Candi Institute of Music, where he previously worked. “This initiative has always been my dream. I’ve seen many young people with a passion for music, arts, and creativity, but lacking structured guidance and access to resources. NDS Academy was born to fill that gap, nurturing local talent and providing a platform where creativity meets education,” he explained.
Students at NDS Academy will gain more than technical DJ skills. The curriculum includes practical industry knowledge, self-expression, discipline, and networking, preparing learners for professional opportunities in the music industry. Nizhe will serve as the head tutor and provide students with an Ultimate DJ Guide, a handbook covering DJing techniques, branding, business insights, and the mindset needed to turn their passion into a sustainable career.
With the launch of NDS Academy, Nizhe DeSoul aims to empower a new generation of DJs in Bulawayo, offering them tools, knowledge, and mentorship to succeed locally and beyond. The academy promises to be a hub for creativity, education, and professional growth in Zimbabwe’s music scene.
