Zimbabwe Backs Lyshanda Moyas at Miss Universe 2025 in Thailand

Zimbabwe is rallying behind Lyshanda Moyas as she represents the country at the Miss Universe 2025 pageant in Thailand. Contestants began the competition with tours of key locations in Thailand and are scheduled to participate in the swimsuit fashion show in Pattaya today, ahead of the preliminary and national costume events on November 19 in Bangkok.

Voting for Miss Universe 2025 is currently open, allowing fans worldwide to support their favourite contestant. Zimbabweans at home and abroad have responded enthusiastically, with Lyshanda already receiving over 46,000 votes. These votes play a crucial role in securing a place in the semi-finals and contributing to the People’s Choice award, which recognises contestants with strong international backing.

Several local celebrities are actively encouraging fans to vote. Social media star Hatiperi has been reminding followers daily to cast their votes and share the link, while online personality Madam Boss has also used her platforms to rally support. Businesswoman and philanthropist Zodwa “Zozo” Mkandla made a significant contribution by casting 4,000 votes, inspiring others to participate. The campaign has spread widely on WhatsApp, Facebook, and Instagram, resulting in one of Zimbabwe’s strongest showings in recent years at an international pageant.

Fans can continue supporting Lyshanda through the official Miss Universe App. To vote, download the app, navigate to the Fan Vote section, search for Lyshanda Moyas – Zimbabwe, and cast a free daily vote. Additional votes can be purchased in packages starting from about US$1, or users can watch ads to earn free votes. Many Zimbabweans have shared screenshots of their votes to encourage others.

Lyshanda has also received positive feedback in Thailand during rehearsals, interviews, and preliminary events, showing confidence and poise.
