Kamusoko finds new home

By Geronimo News

Zambian giants Nkana FC have reportedly captured the signature of seasoned midfielder Thabani Kamusoko ahead of the new season.

The veteran Warriors midfielder is said to have put pen to paper on a one year deal after impressing the Beston Chambeshi led technical team during preseason.

Kamusoko has been training with Kalampa after parting ways with fellow Zambian Super League outfit Zesco United at the end of last season.

The 34-year-old player will join fellow countryman and Warriors teammate Gilroy Chimwemwe who has been with Nkana since January 2021 when he joined the club from another Zambian topflight league side Buildcon.

It is thus expected Kamusoko’s tactical awareness and work ethic coupled with his experience will augment the Kalampa midfield and help the club win silverware in this campaign.

Nkana have been going about their business quietly during this off season period but what is clear is that the 2021 Zambian Super League champions are brewing something big in their quest for dominance in that country.

The Kitwe based side have also signed defensive midfielder Moussa Lamisa Riguene, winger Harry Kayula and left back Amon Chulu while the duo of Royd Katuta and Rabson Banda have been promoted to the senior team ahead of the new season.

Last season Nkana finished 4th on the standings and will be aiming for a return to the top to ensure their passage to the African Safari.

Chambeshi’s charges begun the new campaign with a clash against Kabwe Warriors at home on August 20 with the match ending in a nil-all stalemate.
