3 Zimbabweans Graduate With Flying Colors At Top University In The US
Zimbabweans are making waves everywhere they are in the world, it’s impossible to ignore. Three students graduated with flying colors in different courses at a top University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the United States over the weekend.
David Takura Machingaidze graduated with a distinction in Masters in Business Administration (Innovation and Global Leadership) degree. Machingaidze became the third Zimbabwean to graduate from the Sloan Fellowship Programme after Jonathan Hayes and Komborero Shoko.
The MIT Sloan Fellowship Programme is a one year, full time executive MBA programme designed to prepare an elite group of global mid-career managers to magnify their impact as leaders.
Fidelis Chimombe and Tawanda Zimuto graduated from the same Institution with a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. The two have already been hired by an American firm, Oracle Corporation as software engineers.
The Institute’s Sloan Fellowship Programme has famous African alumni, the likes of Kofi Annan and Trace TV founder Claude Grunitzky and the former UN Secretary-General Celestine Monga.
Mashingaidze has also been awarded the MasterCard Foundation Fellowship with the MIT Legatum Centre for Entrepreneurship and Development which is awarded to accomplished personalities with remarkable backgrounds in business.
