Four Zimbabwean Referees Appointed for FIFA World Cup 2026™ Qualifier

Four Zimbabwean referees have been appointed by FIFA to officiate the Matchday 7 FIFA World Cup 2026™ qualifier between South Sudan and the Democratic Republic of Congo. The fixture is scheduled for 5 September 2025 at the National Stadium in Juba.

Leading the officiating team is Brighton Chimene, who will serve as the main referee. He will be assisted by Luckson Mhara as the first assistant referee and Edgar Rumeck as the second assistant referee. Lawrence Zimondi has been appointed as the fourth official.
