Khaya Dladla opens up on living with and beating covid 19
South African actor Khaya Dladla recently gave fans a close up on his covid 19 diagnosis. The former Uzalo actor said he has since recovered from the virus after having been in isolation for two weeks.
Khaya said he had embarked on a journey of introspection, new habits and a return of some old ones during the two week period. He also said that the journey had been emotional and a very psychological journey. But how did the famous gay actor manage to beat the virus? Khaya said he had conditioned his mind to accept that he could make it. He advised people never to underestimate the power of the mind. He wrote,”As soon as your mind tells your lungs you can’t breathe…YOU WILL NOT BREATHE”. Khaya seems to have set his mind on recovery from the day he was diagnosed with the deadly virus.
His recovery comes at a time when South Africa is battling to control the ravaging effects of the virus. Recently it was confirmed that the country is now in the top ten list of the countries with the most number of recorded cases of those infected. South Africa has actually surpassed the UK. Sale of alcohol was recently banned and the country has been employing strict measures to curb the spread of the disease
Khaya is famous for his sleek style and fashion choices. He has also received more popularity for his alignment to the LGBT community in South Africa joining the likes of Somizi and Moshe Ndiki. He also had viewers up in laughter with his hillarious jokes and cheeky attitude as GC on the telenovela Uzalo which is aired on SABC 1
