Supa Mandiwanzira is one of the leading pioneers of the media industry in Zimbabwe, from his days as a journalist at a local newspaper in Mutare to his position now as a Minister, he has achieved a lot and there’s a lot to learn from his journey to success.

Here are ten things you might not know about Supa Mandiwanzira

1.Supa Mandiwanzira was born in 1972 in Sakubva suburb in Mutare where he also grew up.

2. He studied journalism at Harare Polytechnic and obtained a Master’s degree in International Journalism with the City University of London.

3. In his early career as journalist, Supa worked for local newspaper Manica Post in Mutare before he moved to Harare.

4. After completing his studies at Harare Polytechnic, he started working for The Herald and in 1995 he started working at ZBC TV as a business reporter and news anchor.

5. He then moved to the UK where he obtained his Master’s degree and worked for BBC World Radio Services. Supa has also worked for Al Jezeera English amd SABC as the Zimbabwean correspondent.

6. Supa Mandiwanzira has worked as the Managing Director of the African Business Communications and chief executive officer of owns Mighty Movies which produced his show ‘Talking Business with Supa.’

7. He was the President of the Affirmation Action Group (AAG) , a business association that promotes Zimbabwean econmic growth.

8. His decision to enter politics came after people from his Province asked him to represent them in the Parliament as it would help develop and uplift their community.

9. Beside his growing media empire, Supa has interests in Civil Construction, Mining and property development.

10. In 1994 Supa won the Zimpapers award as the best journalism student.
