Omega Circle Releases Powerful ‘Ungasabi’ Music Video Following Viral Success of ‘Ngembathe’

South African gospel collective Omega Circle has officially released the highly anticipated music video for its inspiring single Ungasabi, delivering a deeply emotional visual journey that speaks to millions of people facing life’s toughest battles.

The release comes on the heels of the group’s previous single, Ngembathe, which has become a social media phenomenon, generating more than 3,000 user-created videos as people across Southern Africa embraced the song as the soundtrack to their everyday lives. From morning routines and family moments to testimonies of faith and perseverance, Ngembathe resonated with listeners looking for hope in uncertain times.

Now, Omega Circle hopes Ungasabi will continue that conversation.

Rather than focusing on elaborate performances, the nearly five-minute music video tells the stories of ordinary people navigating extraordinary hardships. For the first three minutes, viewers are taken through scenes of unemployment, grief, depression, sickness, hunger, financial collapse and broken relationships.

Throughout these heartbreaking moments, the lyrics offer unwavering reassurance:

“Ungasabi, Ungalahli ithemba, ungasabi, don’t be afraid, He is the Redeemer, ungasabi, He will never forsake you.”

The contrast between the painful visuals and the hopeful lyrics creates an emotional tension that reflects the reality many people experience—holding onto faith while circumstances seem impossible.

As the song reaches its final one minute and forty-eight seconds, the atmosphere shifts dramatically.

The same individuals who appeared weighed down by life’s challenges begin experiencing restoration. Some attend therapy and begin healing emotionally. Others are seen praying, graduating from university, purchasing their first homes and vehicles, reconnecting with family members, finding love, celebrating pregnancies and welcoming children into their lives.

Speaking about the release, a member of the Omega Circle collective said the project was created to remind people that no difficult season lasts forever.

“We are really excited to showcase this music video for Ungasabi. The video shows a lot of life’s vulnerabilities, people going through difficult times and finally things starting to look up and get better, which speaks to God being the Redeemer. We really believe this music video will resonate with so many people who have had to lean on their faith during extremely difficult and taxing times.”

The collective also announced that the music video will form part of a five-part social media campaign launching this week. Each instalment will focus on a different life challenge while carrying the overarching message:

“Be kind. Everyone is fighting a silent battle.”

The campaign aims to encourage empathy and compassion while opening conversations around mental health, grief, financial struggles and the importance of community support.

Ungasabi appears on Omega Circle’s latest EP, Spirit Lift Me, a project centred on hope, worship and trusting God through every season of life.
