Outrage over conviction of alleged rapist.

The story of one sekuru Freddy has left emotions running and a lot of comments being made over the justice system in Zimbabwe. He was convicted and sentenced to 35 years imprisonment after allegations of rape were levelled against him.

Sekuru Freddy appeared on the show Tilder live at Chikurubi wherein he said that the accusations were formulated by his brother’s wife after they had had a misunderstanding over a piece of land. She had then Madea report that he had raped his own 5 grandchildren who were all minors.

Sekuru Freddy said that he was shocked by these allegations as he has a catheter directly connected to his private organs to assist him in using the bathroom. That catheter can only be removed by a trained medical practitioner and he has been using it since 2016, years before the alleged rape took place.

He said a nurse had been called to testify in court and had alluded to the same sentiments,that the catheter could not have been removed by any other person. It was therefore impossible for him to have raped the little children.

Sekuru Freddy said the justice system had failed him. He said he did not commit the offence but was merely framed. The old and frail man who looks over 70 years old managed to get the attention of the whole nation.

A ‘lets save sekuru Freddy’ movement has already started on social media with people asking for assistance in order for sekuru Freddy to note his appeal. They said there had been miscarriage of Justice in the handling of his matter.

Rape is defined as the unlawful act of sexual intercourse or anal intercourse with a female person and at the time of intercourse the female person has not consented to it or the accused knows that the female person has not consented to it or there is real risk or possibility that she has not consented. Furthermore children under the age of 12, are deemed incapable of consenting to sexual intercourse.
