Kashitigu optimistic ahead of Cranborne Bullets tie

By Geronimo News

Ngezi Platinum Stars midfielder Leslie Kashitigu is adamant they will continue with their winning momentum when they return to action on Saturday.

Madamburo travel to Rusape for a date with army men Cranborne Bullets at Vhengere Stadium after a week’s break which paved the way for the Chibuku Super Cup preliminary round ties.

Kashitigu, a graduate from the Ngezi Platinum Stars development side who has since asserted himself in the senior team and has been a regular, highlighted that they are looking forward to collect maximum points and continue with their resurgence especially after enduring a bad spell during Mwaruwari’s tenure as head coach of the club.

“The boys are so focused ahead of the game against Cranborne Bullets. You know it’s always tricky to play away from home but we are doing everything we can to ensure we are ready to face any hurdles. We want to keep on winning games and move further up the ladder on the log table. The team is in good spirits and we are raring to go,” he said.

Ngezi Platinum Stars will be coming on the back of a 2-0 win against Triangle United at the Baobab Stadium in their last encounter with Takesure Chiragwi in charge of the team on an interim basis after the sacking of Mwaruwari.

For Madamburo the target for the season is to at least achieve a top four finish at the end of the current campaign, and with about ten games to go the Mhondoro outfit needs to keep their feet down and remain focused if they are to achieve their goal
