”Pastor Evan Mawarire Not Only An Instigator Of Violence But A Thief Too”- Police

Pastor Evan Mawarire, Leader of the Zimbabwean protest movement #ThisFlag is not only an instigator of violence but also a thief‚ according to the country’s law officials.

A search and seizure warrant issued by the Justice of Peace has said Mawarire is believed to be in possession of a stolen police helmet‚ button stick and other subversive material which he used to incite public violence on 6 July 2016 and others for intended use on 13 July 2016 for public violence .

The 39-year-old, Pastor Evan was arrested on Tuesday and charged under the Criminal Law Act‚ for ”incitement to commit public violence” after calling for a public stay away on July 13 and 14 in a bid to get President Robert Mugabe to put an end to corruption and police brutality.
