“Who Doesn’t Want Money?” Says Magaya Defending Gospreneurship
Prophet Magaya, the founder and leader of Prophetic Healing and Deliverance Ministries has defended his church’s mission of economic empowerment stating that’s what God wants for his flock.
Addressing a congregation at his church on Saturday, Magaya said spiritual deliverance was meaningless if individuals failed to use their God given talents in empowering themselves.
“I don’t care when people talk about gospreneurship, who doesn’t want money? Ask me, the life of not having money is unbearable”, he said.
He criticized people who rely on monthly salaries saying the Zimbabwean economy demands people to find other sources of income to complement their earnings. “If you’re a member of PHD (his church) and you rely on your salary then you’re a daft”, he said.
“It is strategic and it’s better to shelve your business plan until you establish a good report with the person or institutions that are expected to fund your project proposal”, he urged his congregation.
“Having a relationship with people who matter is not a corruption”, said Magaya to a cheering congregation.
He then urged the people to find projects that they are passionate about and identify their purpose and pursue it. Magaya ended the service telling his congregants that there’s nothing wrong in church leaders preaching about economic empowerment as the body just like the spirit also needs nourishment.
