Mathias Mhere album launch unifies artists.
Most people thronged The Venue on Friday night to witness first hand Mathias Mhere’s album launch. The gospel musician was unveiling his eighth album titled Greater than Solomon. Scores of people including high profile celebrities graced the occasion and put on a united front as they supported fellow musician.
Celebrities present at the album launch included Jah Prayzah with whom he also perfomed with, comedians Madam Boss and Mai Titi, Olinda Marowa, Dereck Mpofu and others. Several producers such as Mcdee were also there. Mathias Mhere seemed to have ropped in several big names for the event. Musicians indeed showed how much they are willing to drop everything in support of events hosted by their colleagues.
Suffice to say there was an Afcon match pitying the Warriors against Egypt but these celebrities had to forego watching that match in order to support Mhere. Fellow gospel musicians Fungisai and Mudiwa hood pledged 1000 dollars towards the album. Likewise gospel musician and prophet T Freddy of Goodness and Mercy ministries purchased the album for USD 3 500.
The album is a clear musical masterpiece and features ten tracks. These include Jakuchichi, Jerusalem and Ndizarurire. The songs were done by a total of six producers including Mcdee, Dj Tamuka and Oskid. Mhere also collaborated with artists such as Jah Prayzah on some of the songs. One of the videos, Mai John features Comic Pastor. Mhere invested time, effort and money in bringing together various artists in order to cement his album, another indication of his irresistible charm in unifying people.
