Bulawayo Piano Fest Set to Kickstart Mid-Year Holiday Mood

The Bulawayo Piano Fest is poised to set the tone for the upcoming mid-year holiday with an exciting celebration of amapiano music this weekend at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair Main Arena. Organised by Night Sky promoters, this latest edition promises to bring together the finest amapiano stars from both South Africa and Zimbabwe, including one of the genre’s pioneers, DJ Maphorisa, who is widely regarded as a godfather of the South African music industry.
Jordan Dube, one of the event’s organisers, confirmed that all pre-show preparations were complete and that everything was in place for a successful event. “As far as putting things in order, we are done logistically,” Dube shared. “We always put our best foot forward so that we give our audiences a fulfilling show. We don’t want to shortchange people; they will get their money’s worth.”
The highly anticipated event will feature crowd favourites including DJ Maphorisa (Phori), Leemckrazy, who was recently in the city, Scotts Maphuma, Ricky Lenyora, and Uncool MC. These artists are expected to deliver an unforgettable experience, bringing the infectious beats of amapiano to life for the audience.
Dube also emphasized that the festival would provide a “safe space” for attendees to relax and unwind while enjoying a mix of South African and local amapiano sounds. “We have wrapped up the first quarter of the year, and while people take a break and breathe, this is a great platform to socialise and relax with friends. As we always ensure that we have tight security, yet again we guarantee safety,” he assured.
With its blend of high-energy performances, top-tier artists, and a secure, vibrant atmosphere, the Bulawayo Piano Fest is set to be the ultimate destination for amapiano lovers this weekend, marking the start of the mid-year holiday in style.
