Brema Moyo and Insimbi ZeZhwane Set for a Thrilling 2025 with New Music and Packed Performances

Meluleki “Brema” Moyo, the leader and bassist of the renowned Matabeleland North-based music group Insimbi ZeZhwane, is optimistic that 2025 will be a landmark year for the ensemble. With a packed schedule of performances and plans for new music releases, Brema is confident that the band will continue making waves in the Zimbabwean and South African music scenes.

In an interview with NewsDay Life & Style, Brema shared the group’s plans to release a new single, which will be accompanied by a music video if funds permit.

“If all goes well, we have plans to release a single track. If we secure enough funds, we will also produce a music video, which will further establish our presence in the music scene,” he said.

The group has already lined up numerous shows across Zimbabwe and South Africa, proving their growing popularity.

“Since the beginning of the year, we have had many events lined up. As I am speaking now, there is another one happening on February 21,” Brema added.

Reflecting on 2024, Brema described it as a successful year despite some challenges, particularly with the rainy season affecting their performances. Nevertheless, the group managed to close the year on a high note, solidifying their status as a major force in the industry.

The upcoming year is particularly significant for Insimbi ZeZhwane as they continue to navigate the music world following the tragic loss of their lead vocalist, Elvis “MaEli” Mathe, in an accident in August 2023. The band released its 10th album in 2024, marking its first project after Mathe’s passing, and they remain committed to carrying forward his legacy.

Over the years, Insimbi ZeZhwane has captivated fans with a string of successful albums, including Iseqamgwaqo, Inhlanz’encane, Sizalendaba, Dikidiki, Impande Yeminyela, Imbemba, Iginyambila, Umshosha Phansi, and Inhlansi. Their music, deeply rooted in the rhythms of Matabeleland, continues to resonate with audiences both locally and beyond.

With a solid fanbase and an unwavering passion for music, 2025 promises to be a defining year for Insimbi ZeZhwane. Fans can expect new music, high-energy performances, and continued growth as the band solidifies its place in the industry.
