Dorcas Moyo to Lead St James Zongoro Primary School’s Centenary Celebrations

Renowned gospel singer Dorcas Moyo has been selected to lead the centenary celebrations of St James Zongoro Primary School this Saturday. The event marks 100 years of the school’s commitment to providing quality education and shaping a productive citizenry.

Speaking to NewsDayLive, Diocese secretary Edmund Father Samutereko confirmed that preparations for the event were at an advanced stage.

“One of our Diocese schools, St James Zongoro, has reached a milestone as it will be celebrating 100 years of providing good education to the Mutasa district, Manicaland, and countrywide,” Samutereko said.

He emphasized the importance of the occasion, highlighting the school’s continued commitment to academic excellence and progress.

“Saturday is an important day for the school and the diocese. We are very happy that the school has maintained its standards and is improving with each passing year.”

The Anglican Diocese of Manicaland oversees 54 schools across the region, offering both primary and secondary education. St James Zongoro Primary School’s centenary celebration is expected to be a momentous occasion, recognizing the institution’s legacy and contributions to the education sector.
