Dorcas Moyo Vows to Take a Firm Stand Against Cyberbullies in 2026

Gospel diva Dorcas Moyo has vowed to confront cyberbullying head-on in 2026, following a challenging 2025 that tested her resilience. The multiple award-winning praise and worship artiste reflected on a year marked by online harassment, which nearly broke her spirit but ultimately strengthened her resolve.

“I had an eventful, yet nasty year in 2025, where social media trolls nearly shattered my heart but ultimately made me stronger than ever,” Dorcas shared. She added that entering 2026, the narrative will change, as the trolling has not ceased. “We will certainly deal with them because the bullying smear campaign hasn’t stopped.”

Dorcas recently faced a malicious post alleging an affair with a top gospel artiste, which she described as particularly hurtful. “I didn’t take such malice lightly. One day, I will take action against such lunatics, and I warn those peddling lies on social media that I was genuinely hurt by their posts. I don’t know what some people want to achieve with those hurtful posts because I am also human.”

She urged social media users to exercise responsibility and consider the impact of their posts. “The trolling has spiraled out of control. When someone spreads falsehoods, such as the claim about my alleged relationship, I won’t take it lightly again.” Dorcas has involved her management team to explore legal action against the malicious activity. “One of them will regret it, as there are laws in place to protect us at this moment.”

Despite these challenges, Dorcas is moving forward with her music career. Production for her 2026 album is underway. “We are not stopping despite the haters trying to spoil the new season,” she stated. She confirmed a series of shows and tours are planned, with more announcements expected as the year progresses.

Dorcas continues to collaborate with top artists, having recently teamed up with sungura ace Alick Macheso on the track “Mhanza Haisekwi,” a collaboration that boosted her social media following. After winning several awards locally and regionally last year, she aims to surpass that success in 2026. “I look forward to surpassing that rare feat, and I am confident it can be done with the grace of God. I am also a hard worker who rarely disappoints, and I leave it to God, who has blessed my musical journey,” she said.

Her 10th album launch, “Mugeri Tsvatu,” in Mutare made history last year by attracting top performers, including Leonard Zhakata, Macheso, Suluman Chimbetu, King David, Aston Nyahora, Fungisai Zvakavapano, and Mai Charamba. Hosting such household names highlighted Dorcas’s influence and the power of collaboration.

“The same script is expected in 2026, which is fresh. I have good relations with fellow musicians from other genres perceived as secular music, and we all share the same vision as creatives. We are all preachers in our own right, and I am happy that we will shatter new records and be counted among the elite,” she asserted. Dorcas Moyo enters 2026 stronger, determined to protect her reputation, expand her musical reach, and inspire others through her faith and artistry.
