Jah Prayzah will be honoured at the sixth edition of the Zim Community Trailblazers Awards this evening at Pabani Venue in Umwinsidale, Harare. The ceremony will highlight leading contributors in entertainment, business, sports and public service. The event aims to celebrate individuals who continue to shape communities through consistent work and influence. It will gather some of the country’s most visible achievers for a night focused on national pride and recognition.
The Minister of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services Dr Jenfan Muswere is the Special Guest of Honour. Power Giants CEO Edzai Kachirekwa is the Guest of Honour. Their attendance signals the growing importance of the awards within Zimbabwe’s cultural and professional landscape. The theme for this year is Unity in Diversity, Strength in Community. The theme encourages Zimbabweans to work together and strengthen community ties.
ZCTA spokesperson Albert Masaka said the event is designed to bring together people who represent excellence across different fields. He said the awards reflect resilience and determination, values that many Zimbabweans continue to show in challenging conditions. The event will begin at 6pm and will offer a platform for networking and celebration. Organisers expect the atmosphere to highlight progress and community achievement.
The ZCTA has honoured notable figures over the years. Past recipients include Dr Nigel Chanakira, Pastor Ruth Musarurwa, Sikandar Raza, Madam Boss, Baba and Mai Charamba, Temba Mliswa and Dr Vivek Solanki. The recognition given to these individuals shows the broad scope of the awards. It includes arts, business, religion, sports and public leadership.
Organisers expect high profile guests, sponsors and partners to attend. They believe the awards help motivate individuals and organisations to contribute more to national development. They also view the event as a way to promote community impact and encourage collaboration. The recognition of Jah Prayzah adds weight to the ceremony, as he remains one of the country’s most influential artists.
