King SMADE in Harare Ahead of AfriKingdom Festival 2026–2027

The atmosphere in Harare was electric yesterday as British-Nigerian entertainment mogul and cultural visionary King SMADE touched down in Zimbabwe ahead of the AfriKingdom Festival 2026–2027. The Afrobeats pioneer and CEO of SMADE Entertainment Group is in Zimbabwe, greeted with excitement and ready to engage with the country’s creative community.

SMADE described Zimbabwe as a land of opportunity, talent, and rich culture. “It feels amazing to finally be here in Zimbabwe — a land of warmth, talent, and rich heritage,” he told journalists. He expressed his desire to connect with the country’s creative spirit and highlighted Zimbabwe’s place in Africa’s story. SMADE emphasized that the AfriKingdom Festival would serve as a platform to shape the future of the creative and faith sectors across the continent.

Having co-founded the internationally acclaimed Afro Nation Festival and produced over 1,000 events worldwide, SMADE highlighted the significance of the AfriKingdom Festival. “The festival is more than just an event — it’s a platform that will put Zimbabwe on the global map as a hub of creativity, culture, and innovation,” he said. His vision is to create a festival that celebrates artistry, faith, and enterprise while providing global exposure for local talent.

The visit, hosted by AfriLegacy in partnership with Nyaradzo Group, forms part of the preparatory activities for the continental festival. The event is expected to bring together artists, business leaders, investors, and youth from across Africa and the diaspora. AfriLegacy Chief Executive Joseph Madziyire described SMADE’s presence as a historic milestone. “Dr SMADE’s presence in Zimbabwe is a prophetic and strategic alignment of purpose,” he said. “Through this collaboration, we are building bridges between faith, enterprise, and creativity, positioning Africa as a global force of influence and innovation.”

Organizers revealed that SMADE will engage in strategic meetings with government ministries, corporate leaders, and creative organizations. He will also participate in cultural and faith-based activities that highlight Zimbabwe’s vibrant heritage. The AfriKingdom Festival, set to run from December 2026 through 2027, will feature international worship concerts, business and leadership summits, fashion and film showcases, and youth empowerment forums.

SMADE stressed that the festival will serve as a springboard for Africa’s creative economy. “Africa has some of the most dynamic talent in the world,” he said. “Zimbabwe is ready to show that its creative industries can compete and thrive internationally.” Madziyire added that hosting SMADE signifies more than a single visit; it represents Zimbabwe’s readiness to play a central role in Africa’s cultural and creative renaissance. The collaboration marks a pivotal step in positioning Zimbabwe as a continental hub for creativity, innovation, and global cultural influence.
