Mercy Mutsvene Opens Up About Her Marriage And Cheating Scandal
Controversial gospel musician Mercy Mutsvene has shut down the self-exposing Facebook post rumors under her name saying it was bogus and a ploy by her enemies to ”pull her down”. The post, which claimed her third marriage to politician Tongai Nheta is in a murky patch owing to his alleged abusive nature and her unfaithfulness, surfaced on social media last Wednesday, attracting wide and mostly negative reaction from her legion of fans.
”As you know my name is Mercy Mutsvene. I’m a gospel artist. Many of you have been wondering why I have been silent with my music and let me explain. I was married to this man on the photo Tongai Nheta. He was very abusive and still is. I was not faithful in our marriage and this led to us parting ways. He is in a relationship with a another (sic) woman and I would want to keep her identity,” wrote Mercy on Facebook.
She said that many might ask why she did this but she is sick and tired of keeping silent. She can’t report him to the police because he is well known in those circles. All Mercy want is to let the fans know that she will be back. And she have not stopped making music.
”Someone could have hacked my Facebook account and we are running around to find out who the culprit could be. All that was written on that Facebook post are lies. I am happily staying with my husband. It could be the work of enemies bent on destroying our relationship. Mind you even Jesus Christ had enemies among people who followed him,” she added.
Mercy said her husband, who is also her manager, would call The Standard Style reporter to confirm that all was well in their romantic life. However, the husband had not called by the time of going to print.
The gospel songstress was married in 2002 to Simbarashe Ngwenya and they divorced in 2007 before she got married to a Zambian bishop and relocated to Zambia. The marriage lasted for a few months and in 2009 she got married to Nheta.
