Mokoomba Announces Final International Tour of 2025 Across Europe

Zimbabwean Afro-fusion sensation Mokoomba is set to conclude 2025 with a final international tour, performing in Austria, Germany, and Sweden next month. The band, known for high-energy shows and a genre-blending sound, will wrap up a busy year after earlier tours across Portugal, Germany, and Spain.
The European tour begins on November 1 at the Victoria Theatre in Malmo, Sweden. The group will then perform at Ampere in Munich, Germany, on November 6, followed by the Selam Festival in Stockholm, Sweden, on November 7. Their itinerary continues with a show at Treibhaus in Innsbruck, Austria, on November 8, and concludes at Trans Vocal in Frankfurt Oder, Germany, on November 14.
Guitarist and backing vocalist Trust Samende confirmed that the band will not be performing in South Africa as initially planned. “We’re preparing for our last tour this year in Europe. Unfortunately, due to a scheduling clash, we’re no longer able to do the gig in Johannesburg on October 25,” Samende said. “We apologise for the inconvenience and thank the hosts for their understanding. We’ll reschedule the performance to honour our fans in South Africa.”
Mokoomba will announce year-end concerts in Zimbabwe, giving fans a chance to celebrate the band’s homecoming after months on the road.
Formed in 2002, Mokoomba has become one of Zimbabwe’s most successful musical exports. Their sound combines traditional Tonga rhythms with funk, reggae, soukous, and Afro-beats, appealing to audiences worldwide.
The band’s current line-up includes Mathias Muzaza on lead vocals, Trust Samende on lead guitar and backing vocals, Abundance Mutori on bass guitar and backing vocals, Donald Moyo on keyboards and backing vocals, Ndaba Coster Moyo on drums and backing vocals, and Miti Mugande on percussion and backing vocals.
With their European tour set to showcase their dynamic performances and Afro-fusion style, Mokoomba continues to cement its reputation as a global ambassador of Zimbabwean music.
