Nyasha David Offers Cash Reward After Theft of Unreleased Music

Zimbabwean R&B singer Nyasha David is appealing to the public for assistance after thieves raided his home over the weekend, stealing valuable items, including a laptop containing his unreleased music. The break-in, which occurred on Saturday, resulted in the loss of an HP laptop, two iPads, two Toshiba hard drives, a PlayStation, and some boots.
Taking to social media on Saturday morning, David expressed his distress over the theft, lamenting how the perpetrators had stolen not just his possessions but his life’s work. In a heartfelt plea, he offered a cash reward to anyone who could help recover the stolen items.
“Kune Munhu Andibira madeko, ndokupa hako mari kana ukandidzorera Laptop nema Hard Drive. Mune Basa rangu rese. Wangu Wandikwadza 🙂↕️,” David wrote, emphasizing the importance of the lost gadgets, which contained years of his music and creative projects.
By Monday morning, David provided an update, revealing that some of the stolen items had been returned. The thieves reportedly threw his bag over the durawall, with his iPads intact. However, the most critical gadgets—his laptop and hard drives—were still missing.
“Thank you for spreading the word. They threw my bag over the durawall with my iPads intact. But we need the Laptop and Hard drives. Bring Back the Laptop and Hard drives,” he urged.
The loss of his unreleased music is a major setback for the artist, as the stolen devices likely contained recordings, beats, and projects in progress. Fans and fellow artists have since rallied behind him, spreading awareness in hopes of retrieving the missing items.
As David continues his search, he remains hopeful that his music will be recovered, and he encourages anyone with information to come forward. His plea highlights the devastating impact of such thefts on creatives whose work is stored digitally, emphasizing the need for better security measures to protect valuable intellectual property.
