Zimdancehall Singer Seh Calaz Sparks Controversy with New Diss Track ‘Mudhara Wema Records’

Zimdancehall artist Seh Calaz is facing backlash after releasing a new diss track titled ‘Mudhara Wema Records’, which reignited his long-standing feud with Winky D and targeted several other musicians. The track includes sharp remarks aimed at Holy Ten and Silent Killer, with Calaz claiming Silent Killer’s face resembled a corpse.
“Andingamiswe nengwere, munhu ane face kunge chitunha,” Calaz rapped in the song.
The track also takes jabs at Winky D, reflecting ongoing tensions between the two artists. “Kudharamakatinyepera kuti munovhuna vamwe chamunongo gona ku buller vamwe,” he rapped, directly addressing Winky D.
Prior to the release, Calaz accused Winky D and his manager Elder Banda of colluding with promoters to sabotage his career, claiming they removed his name from show line-ups.
While the song is gaining traction online and is currently among the top 20 trending songs on YouTube in Zimbabwe, some of Calaz’s fans and colleagues expressed concern about the move. Music producer Phabb advised Calaz to reconcile with Vigilance Music, suggesting that apologizing and focusing on his own music could eventually open doors for collaborations.
Calaz’s diss track also takes shots at Platinum Prince, Magical, Qounfuzed, and Holy Ten, with lyrics like, “hona mfana Ten chinemazitama kunge chigaba chewethi,” aimed at Holy Ten.
Nehanda Radio reached out to Seh Calaz to clarify whether the track stemmed from a desire to trend or from genuine animosity towards the artists mentioned in his 2-minute, 51-second song.
The release has sparked debate in Zimbabwe’s music industry, highlighting the tension between Zimdancehall stars and the competitive nature of the genre.
