Macala Drops New Track “Umesabe Umuntu” Featuring CopperMan, Lewanika M, and Tylor

Rising star Nigel Thole, known by his stage name Macala, is back in the spotlight with the release of his latest track, Umesabe Umuntu. Featuring the talents of CopperMan, Lewanika M, and Tylor, the song has already captured the attention of music lovers across Zimbabwe and beyond. To complement the audio, the official music video was released on YouTube last month, offering fans a visual experience to match the track’s compelling message.

In an exclusive interview with NewsDay Life & Style, Macala shared his excitement about collaborating with other seasoned artistes on this project. “The experience of working with Malume CopperMan, Lewanika M, and Tylor was awesome. I learnt a lot from my more experienced counterparts, which made the whole experience even more pleasant,” he said.

The track’s title, Umesabe Umuntu, carries a profound message about trust and betrayal. “The reason I named the song Umesabe Umuntu is because life teaches us not to trust people too easily, as that’s where we often get hurt the most,” Macala explained. With his reflective lyrics and emotive delivery, the song connects with listeners on a deep, personal level.

Hailing from Nkulumane 5 in Bulawayo, Macala has continued to solidify his place in the music scene with an impressive catalogue of hits like Inkumbulo, Amacala, Ncedani, and Ngiyakuthanda. His collaborations with prominent artistes such as Thandy Dlana, Copperman, Butholezwe, Mzoe7, and Mr Brown have further showcased his versatility and unique style.

Known for his smooth, soulful sound, Macala draws comparisons to South African artist Mlindo The Vocalist, who is not only his role model but has also publicly praised Macala on social media.

Looking ahead, Macala hinted at even more exciting releases. “Soon, I will be featured on Ungam’thanda by Mzoe7,” he said. Additionally, fans can expect another banger next month with Ngiyam’fatela, a track featuring Smashmaker.
