NUBIAN NOTES to Celebrate Women in Music at Harare International Conference Centre

Gateway Stream Media, a subsidiary of the Rainbow Tourism Group, in partnership with ZAR Events, will host NUBIAN NOTES — a celebration of women in music — on November 8 at the Harare International Conference Centre (HICC).
Dubbed “Mambokadzi — The Rise of Her Sound,” the concert will feature an all-female line-up of Zimbabwe’s leading performers, including Feli Nandi, Gemma Griffiths, Tamy Moyo, Shashl, and Nisha Ts. The event is designed to be more than entertainment, aiming to champion and elevate women in the music industry.
Gateway Stream Media manager Elton Kurima said, “NUBIAN NOTES is more than a concert, it is a movement to champion and elevate women in music, and offer a stage where their artistry, creativity and cultural impact are fully recognised. This concert is dedicated to shining the spotlight on female musician artistry in Zimbabwe and beyond.”
Kurima added that the show would offer an “unforgettable showcase of expertise, enthusiasm and craftsmanship,” highlighting the skills and creativity of female artists across genres.
Organisers confirmed the concert will feature a diverse mix of sounds, including Afro-soul, dancehall, and pop, reflecting the variety and depth of Zimbabwe’s contemporary female music scene. Each performer will bring her unique style, making NUBIAN NOTES one of the most significant celebrations of female talent in the country this year.
Since its launch in 2020, Gateway Stream Media has earned recognition as an award-winning entertainment platform and music promoter. Its collaboration with ZAR Events underscores a continued commitment to supporting and elevating women in music, providing platforms for artistic expression and cultural impact.
NUBIAN NOTES promises to be a landmark event, giving Zimbabwean women in music the recognition and platform they deserve while offering audiences a dynamic, unforgettable musical experience.
